We are located in the middle of nature and, therefore, close to some places of interest to enjoy the outdoors. This is a charming winery hotel to relax, unwind and find the tranquility that being in the middle of the countryside always offers.

Hiking in Badajoz 1: Discover our surroundings
Walk between vineyards and olive groves
Free walk along the access track to the hotel, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, until you reach the entrance arch.
On this route you can enjoy the surroundings of the hotel, our own vineyards and the olive groves in the area. A short walk without any difficulties, perfect to combine with a relaxing day at the hotel.

Hiking in Badajoz 2: Nature and history near El Moral
Route to Pocito de San Juan Macías
San Juan Macías was an Extremaduran religious who was born in Ribera del Fresno in 1585 and lived much of his life in Lima, where he died.
The first miracle attributed to Juan Macías is well known in this area. It is said that while Juan was taking his flock to graze he met a boy who sadly cried in front of the mouth of a very deep well.
When Juan asked about the reason for his crying, the boy replied that one of his pigs had fallen into the well and that he was worried about reprimanding his father. Juan told him not to worry and went to the well while he kept praying to the virgin. Then the water from the well began to rise and the pig rose to the surface and was able to come out alive. Since then, “Pocito Juan Macías” has been preserved as a very special place and many pilgrims come to visit convinced that their waters are healing and miraculous.

The Sierra Grande de Hornachos is a natural space located about 20 minutes by car from our hotel. Here you can find from rocky outcrops to dense forests and rivers, specifically three: Matachel, Palomillas and Guadámez.
The Sierra Grande de Hornachos has a rich flora, where oak groves stand out, and fauna dominated by birds of prey and Mediterranean fauna.
Here are some routes for you to enjoy this fantastic natural environment. The duration of the routes is approximate, since it will depend a lot on the pace and how much you stop.

Route of the Molinos reservoir
Route that goes from the town of Hornachos to the Embalse de los Molinos. In this reservoir you can see many water birds, cranes and black storks. Ideal route for lovers of ornithology.
